Curries from around the world
If you love curries, but lack the confidence to make them from scratch, then this is the class for you. Join the Leiths team for a culinary journey around some of the finest curry hot-spots. Including a Thai red duck curry, a Goan Vindaloo and a Malayan prawn curry (amongst others), this hands-on class uses authentic ingredients that are easily available. You will also learn about selecting and using spices, making curry pastes, marinades and curry accompaniments. Leave Leiths inspired to cook your way around the world’s finest curries.
The day begins with coffee and pastries followed by a morning of hands-on cooking, and culminating in a delicious lunch of your own making. Some of the food cooked in the class can be taken home.
What the day involves:
- Coffee & pastries on arrival
- All ingredients are provided and weighed out for you in advance
- Unless otherwise specified, classes are a combination of a talk or demo, then plenty of hands-on cooking
- Wine is supplied at lunch to accompany the meal you have cooked
- Any food not eaten can be taken home
- Unless otherwise stated, a light lunch is provided for classes where students have not cooked a meal
- A recipe booklet
- All guests are assisted by Leiths teachers
- We do the washing up
