Gluten Free ABC
We are delighted to welcome Adriana Rabinovich, former Leiths Diploma graduate and author of The Gluten-free Cookbook for Kids, to lead this informative class. Using her knowledge and experience in baking, Adriana specialises in devising recipes with flavour and texture, so that following a gluten-free diet does not mean missing out on all the treats.
Gluten Free ABC is designed for those looking for information and practical support for gluten free cooking. In this practical all day cookery class you will learn how to prepare healthy and hassle free meals without compromising on taste. Wraps, breads, cakes and puddings will be just some of the recipes covered on the day. We will also look at traditional favourites and give them a new twist, using gluten free ingredients. This course is suitable for anyone searching for gluten-free inspiration, including those in catering.
Sample recipes include: Fish and Polenta Chips, Mexican Tacos with a Spicy Salsa, Classic Chocolate Chip Cookies, Carrot Cake and Chocolate Brownies.
The day starts with coffee, and you will pause half-way for a delicious lunch.
What the day involves:
- All ingredients are provided and weighed out for you in advance
- Unless otherwise specified, classes are a combination of a talk or demo, then plenty of hands-on cooking
- Wine is supplied at lunch to accompany the meal you have cooked
- Any food not eaten can be taken home
- Unless otherwise stated, a light lunch is provided for classes where students have not cooked a meal
- A recipe booklet
- All guests are assisted by Leiths teachers
- We do the washing up
