How to cook the perfect steak
Sourcing best quality meat is half the challenge, but once you have bought the best beef how do you turn it into the perfect steak? This new workshop at Leiths focuses on cooking a variety of cuts; sirloin, rib-eye and fillet, showing you how to bring out the best of each.
You will also taste some different steaks such as venison, ostrich and buffalo, to compare and contrast with the beef cuts. The perfect steak can be enhanced by the perfect sauce, and with this in mind, you will learn the art of the béarnaise sauce, master a classic black pepper sauce and get some Argentine inspiration with a zingy chimichurri.
Ideas for delicious accompaniments will be included with tips from the Leiths teachers, who will teach you how to make chips, baked mushrooms and shallots to complete the perfect steak supper.
