Malaysian Street Food with Norman Musa
Visit the wonderfully eclectic, taste bud tingling world of Malaysian cuisine with chef and writer Norman Musa as he gives a special insight into the country’s vibrant street food. With plenty of advice on flavour pairings and seasonings to give that authentic Malaysian touch to your food, this promises to be an energetic and eye opening workshop for all Asian food enthusiasts.
Malaysian cuisine is wonderfully eclectic, heavily influenced by the broad range of immigrants and cultures that have been brought together over centuries of trade and colonialism, amongst them Indian, Portuguese and Chinese. Norman Musa is one of the most exciting and engaging chefs in the UK, passionately promoting his native Malaysian cuisine. With various appearances on MasterChef Malaysia, he has achieved much since opening his first Ning restaurant & cookery school in Manchester in 2006, with a branch in York and a supper club in London. He was chef for the Malaysian Formula One team in 2010, finalist for Malaysia’s National Outstanding Achievement Awards in 2011 and is currently the UK’s Young Asian & Oriental Chef of the Year. He is currently working on his third cookbook.
