Valentine Warner’s Vegetable Masterclass
Valentine Warner, celebrated chef and advocate of eating seasonally joins us at Leiths for a day of culinary inspiration as he unravels the secrets to cooking delicious vegetables.
In this hands-on class, Valentine will ignite your culinary imagination, sharing methods of cooking and preparing vegetables and introducing delightful flavor combinations
The day begins with coffee and pastries. The class, which will include both demonstration and plenty of hands-on participation, will conclude with a delicious lunch cooked by the students, and a well earned glass of wine.
SAMPLE MENU:
Deep fried courgette flowers stuffed with mozzarella & anchovies
Roasted pepper salads with capers & lemon
Japanese aubergine with miso & sesame
Marinade tomatoes with fresh goats cheese & olives
Broad beans & Jamon
Braised chicory with cheese sauce & crumbs
Baby beetroots & carrots with green sauce
New potatoes with stinking bishop cheese & spring onions
Summer salad with anchovy dressing
What the day involves:
- Coffee & pastries on arrival
- All ingredients are provided and weighed out for you in advance
- Unless otherwise specified, classes are a combination of a talk or demo, then plenty of hands-on cooking
- Wine is supplied at lunch to accompany the meal you have cooked
- Any food not eaten can be taken home
- Unless otherwise stated, a light lunch is provided for classes where students have not cooked a meal
- A recipe booklet
- All guests are assisted by Leiths teachers
- We do the washing up
