Vietnamese with Jennifer Joyce
Explore the fresh, aromatic flavours of Vietnamese cuisine in this hands-on class. Jennifer Joyce, food writer, teacher and stylist, will teach you to recreate a menu of aromatic dishes such as ‘Beef, mint and mango crystal rolls with lime dipping sauce’; ‘Grilled lemongrass pork balls with herbs and pickled carrots’; and ‘Cha fish with dill, noodles and pickled chilis’.
The day begins with coffee and pastries, followed by a morning of hands-on cooking. At the end of the class, sit down to enjoy a lunch that you have helped to prepare, with a well earned glass of wine.
What the day involves:
- Coffee & pastries on arrival
- All ingredients are provided and weighed out for you in advance
- Unless otherwise specified, classes are a combination of a talk or demo, then plenty of hands-on cooking
- Wine is supplied at lunch to accompany the meal you have cooked
- Any food not eaten can be taken home
- Unless otherwise stated, a light lunch is provided for classes where students have not cooked a meal
- A recipe booklet
- All guests are assisted by Leiths teachers
- We do the washing up
