A sweet start to the New Year
20th December 2011
There’s nothing like the dawn of a New Year to inspire some kitchen creativity. Whether it’s devising healthy post-Christmas menus, a little indulgence, or spending some quality time in the comfort of your own home during the chilly winter months, we have plenty of reasons to get you into the kitchen.
Sweet tooths are especially well-catered for this New Year, with a host of workshops specialising in puddings, preserves and fancy French confectionaries kicking off our schedule of one day classes.
Classic Winter Puddings is an introduction to some of Britain’s most comforting culinary offerings, from a moist steamed chocolate pudding through to an oozy fruit cobbler. Our Saturday workshop, Winter Puddings, takes more fanciful approach, with Champagne and pear jellies and Pomegranate stained meringues all on the menu.
If the French touch is more what you fancy, our Meringues and Macaroons masterclass promises to offer all the tips and techniques required to make showshopping confectionaries at home. So be sure to look at our website for the full schedule.
