Alix's Story

Alix Caiger was already working in the food industry as a private chef when she decided she wanted to cement her skills and further her knowledge by taking the Diploma.

“It was amazing,” she says, “It gave me the skills I needed to start running my business full time and become the chef I wanted to be in an industry full of energy and enthusiasm. 

“I felt confident cooking anything and going into any kitchen.”

After she graduated, Alix set up Caiger & Co, bringing her passion for cooking and food to catering in a totally bespoke way.

Relishing the opportunity to create and develop unique ideas, dishes and concepts, Alix’s team work for a huge variety of clients; from large event companies and corporate firms, to film studies and those needing a private chef.

“Running such a busy company involves a lot of operational planning, a huge amount of bespoke menu design, getting creative with event themes and managing and training a young and innovative team,” Alix says.

She says that completing the Diploma gave her the confidence to become the chef she always wanted to be, and the skills she needed to run her own business and take it from strength to strength.
