Chocolate Oaties

Buttery flapjack squares dipped in chocolate, what's not to love?

Ingredients

Makes 16


115g butter
115g soft light brown sugar
200g porridge oats
170g dark chocolate

Instructions

  1. Grease a shallow, square 20cm/8" cake tin, or line with baking parchment. Heat the oven to 170C/325F/Gas 3.
  2. Melt the butter and add the sugar and oats. Mix well and press into the prepared cake tin.
  3. Place in the centre of the oven and bake for 25-30 minutes.
  4. Remove from the oven and allow to cool in the tin for 5 minutes. Cut into squares and remove to a wire rack to cool.
  5. Carefully melt the chocolate in a bowl over, but not touching, a pan of steaming water. When the biscuits are cold, spread the chocolate over half of each biscuit. Allow to set
