Due to the coronavirus outbreak Leiths has made the difficult decision to cancel all planned courses (except our online courses) until the end of May. In these exceptional circumstances all students who have booked places on our courses will be offered the opportunity to cancel or reschedule their course. If you are currently in the process of taking a multi-part course, you will be offered new dates to complete the course later in the year. Of course we will be dealing with a high volume of calls and emails and we thank you for your understanding and patience during this unsettling time. We look forward to cooking with you at Leiths in the near future.

#LeithsLoves - Henry Harris opens new KPH Public House and Diningrooms

Leiths alumni, Henry Harris' opens KPH Public House and Diningrooms and our own MD, Camilla Schniedman, pops in for an experience not to be missed.

Leiths MD Camilla Schneideman kicks of our new #LeithsLoves series with a review of Henry Harris’ new opening.

The legendary KPH @thekphlondon (aka the Kensington Park Hotel) in Notting Hill has reopened with Leiths alumni Henry Harris as its chef director, and ex-St John chef Ruairidh Summers as head chef.

The dining room is an oasis of calm above the pub; photographs of Carnival frolics adorn the panelled walls. The menu is mercifully short but on-point; bistro food that has been elevated.

Highlights are the Macerated tomato and anchovies, a marriage made in heaven; tart, sweet and salty in perfect harmony. A starter of Brown shrimp, cucumber and crème fraiche doesn’t disappoint, pickled cucumber contrasting the tender, sweet shrimp. Onglet with béarnaise and pommes frites is just as it should be. The frites are worth a return visit, even if you have a long commute.

With Carnival about to kick off, the pub will be boarded up for safe keeping. But go as soon as the clear-up is done, it’s going to be busy.
