What could be more quintessentially British than afternoon tea? We love to celebrate tradition here at Leiths, and we know you come to us to explore new recipes and trends, so we’ve created an afternoon tea class which melds tradition with creativity.

Our brand new Ultimate Afternoon Tea class incorporates all the sweet and savoury treats you’d expect to see on your three-tiered cake stand and gives them an inventive twist!

Working in our new state of the art kitchen, you’ll learn tried-and-tested Leiths techniques and create classic British treats, adding new creative flavours. Then sit down together for afternoon tea and enjoy your delicious efforts.

Menu

  • Crab scotch eggs with siracha mayonnaise
  • Pork, apple and sage sausage rolls
  • Roquefort choux buns
  • Cornish and sea salt fudge brownies
  • Scones with clotted cream and jam (showcasing a different, unique way to make scones)
  • Cardamom and ginger loaf with an orange mascarpone frosting (recipe includes soaking the fruit in Assam tea)

What is included:

  • Refreshments on arrival
  • A recipe booklet
  • All ingredients provided and weighed out for you in advance
  • Lunch of your own making or sharing platters prepared by the school
  • We do the washing up!

What you need to bring:

  • Flat soled shoes
  • Long trousers and a long sleeved top are advisable

Allergies and dietary restrictions: We are happy to make adjustments where possible. Some classes are however unsuitable for people with particular intolerances – where the menu would need to be completely different.
