We have two Cookery Toolbox courses currently running in 2021 - April and July. The courses are the same skill level, they simply have different recipes. Teenagers are able to do either course, or indeed both!

Our Cookery Toolbox for Teenagers is a great holiday course for foodie kids and teenagers; think of it as a culinary alternative to the classic kids' camp!

Young students aged 12 - 17 years old will gain a range of key cooking skills on this practical, fun-packed course for budding chefs. Packed with lots of top cooking tips, teenagers will learn to cook an array of tasty recipes for brunch, lunch and dinner. Young chefs will leave inspired to keep on cooking with confidence.

  • Buckwheat galettes with ham, cheese, fried egg and tomato salad
  • Vegetarian katsu curry with basmati rice
  • Tacos with chilli con carne, guacamole and griddled corn
  • Fish goujons with a cornflake and Parmesan crust, tartar sauce and potato wedges
  • Pea soup and soda bread
  • Raspberry and peach cobber with thick vanilla custard
  • Viennese whirls with buttercream and chocolate
  • Apple and spelt muffins
  • Chocolate crinkle biscuits

July dishes :

  • Sausage pasta with garlic flatbreads and green salad
  • Mu shu pork in lettuce cups with Asian slaw
  • Sichuan prawns
  • Sweetcorn fritters and an avocado salsa
  • Rocket pesto and cherry tomato tartlets
  • Roast chicken with root begetable gratin, charred broccoli
  • Spiced potato and almond koftes with courgette salad, tomato salsa
  • Pavlova with mango and passionfruit
  • Squidgy pear and chocolate brownie pudding with vanilla mascarpone

  • Flat soled shoes
  • Long trousers and a long sleeved top are advisable

We are happy to make adjustments where possible. Some classes are however unsuitable for people with particular intolerances – where the menu would need to be completely different.
