Summary Vegan Kitchen - Evening Class Series

How to book: To take the whole course, please add all four individual dates to your shopping basket and proceed to the checkout. It is also possible to book each individual session of this course as a standalone class. Week 1: An introduction to vegan cooking. In this session you’ll learn the basics so you can start to enjoy cooking following vegan principles.

Week 2: Vegan baking, including baking without eggs, using alternative ingredients and learning different baking techniques.

Week 3: Protein-packed vegan main courses.

Week 4: Dinner party entertaining for family and friends.

The course

This entry level course is ideal for vegans, those cooking for vegans, or those following a plant-based diet.

Following the success of The Essential Vegan day class, our four-part evening course is designed to equip you with a repertoire of delicious recipes and essential techniques for everyday vegan cooking.

Students will enjoy sessions on baking, delicious recipes to ensure that your diet is balanced and varied; and a session dedicated to dinner parties and entertaining.

You will cover comforting dishes like Mexican chilli, and saffron risotto; how to make shortcrust pastry without eggs or butter, as well as tried and tested recipes for vegan desserts and cakes. A more extensive list of sample recipes will be released soon.

After the four sessions, you will have developed confidence in your cooking generally, as well as broadening your plant-based horizons.

We're aware that there are a number of reasons for following a plant-based diet and this course has been designed to cater for those differences.

Some of the recipes have been chosen for their health benefits, and some make use of manufactured vegan products. Others have been included simply because we love them and can't wait to share them with you!

Typical recipes might include:

  • Mexican chilli
  • Fennel and saffron risotto
  • Lasagne with vegan béchamel sauce
  • Selection of canapés
  • Sweet and savoury tarts
  • Shortcrust pastry
  • Aquafaba meringues
  • Chocolate cake

Please note, recipes and ingredients may change.

Whilst careful measures have been taken to ensure that this class is completely vegan friendly, please be aware that you will be taught by the same chefs who teach the rest of our classes in the kitchens where our non-vegan courses take place.

Practical info Vegan Kitchen - Evening Class Series

What is included:

  • Refreshments on arrival
  • A recipe booklet
  • All ingredients provided and weighed out for you in advance
  • Dinner of your own making with Louis Latour vegan wines and plenty of food to take home
  • We do the washing up!

What you need to bring:

  • Flat soled shoes
  • Long trousers and a long sleeved top are advisable
  • Everything that you prepare can be taken home so we recommend that you bring a cool bag

Allergies and dietary restrictions:

We are happy to make adjustments where possible. Some classes are however unsuitable for people with particular intolerances – where the menu would need to be completely different.
